What is Prophecy?

Biblical prophecy refers to the messages communicated by the prophets, individuals God chose to deliver divine revelations. These prophecies, found throughout the Bible, often contain foretellings of future events, divine will, and moral teachings aimed at guiding the people of the time. They serve not only as predictions but also as calls to action, urging people toward repentance, faithfulness, and righteousness. Biblical prophecies demonstrate God's sovereignty, fulfilling divine promises, and establishing a relationship between God and humanity. Through these prophetic messages, the Bible weaves a narrative from historical events to the eschatological future, offering insights into God's plan for the world and its inhabitants.

While Prophets existed throughout the entirety of the written Word, the gift of prophecy is still available today for those who are willing to receive from the Lord. Click the link below to download the teaching notes on this subject.
