This week we get the privilege of reading (and therefore, seeing) John’s vision of the glorified Jesus. I don’t know about you, but when someone tells me they had a vision or a dream from God, I am all ears! And that’s how I feel when reading John’s experience here in chapter 1. Lean in, imagine that John is a friend who is sharing this incredible vision. Allow yourself to ponder and imagine what it must’ve been like. It’s always a good thing to sit and marvel at the glorified Jesus! But remember, this Jesus is not the sweet baby that we celebrate every Christmas. And He’s not even that miracle-working human being that graced the planet 2,000 years ago. No…this is JESUS GLORIFIED! He is stunning! He is transformed! He is Mighty! He is all that He was on Earth, and more! And this is the Jesus that is coming back to slay His enemies at the end of the age! Scroll through to take a closer look.

Next week, we will see that Jesus dictates seven letters to seven specific churches that existed during John’s day. Jesus intended for each letter to be passed around to the other churches, and it’s obvious that we, too, have much to learn from Jesus’ remarks, even today! Read chapter 2 before we gather, and see if any of it resonates with you.

Happy Studying! See you next week!
