It’s time to take a closer look at the letters written to the Seven Churches. I have to admit, this is my favorite section of the Book of Revelation. To me, I take comfort in knowing what Jesus expects of His Bride (which overwhelmingly is to learn to “overcome”). Some people seem to think that grace gives them an excuse to continue living in sinful ways. But in reality, grace EMPOWERS believers to overcome the sin in their lives. And this is the recurrent message throughout these 7 letters. Praise be to God for teaching us to be overcomers! I am praying that the Holy Spirit speaks to you as you read and study the letters to Ephesus and Smyrna.
